Adult Use
New Mexico Adult-Use Cannabis
The Cannabis Regulation Act combined the regulation of both adult-use and medical cannabis into one commercial cannabis framework, administered by the Cannabis Control Division. The Department of Health continues to oversee the medical cannabis patient program.
Consumers are eligible to buy up to the following at one time:
- 2 ounces of cannabis
- 16 g of concentrate
- 800 mg of edibles
There is no monthly or weekly limit. Possession is unlimited at home, provided all cannabis product is stored where it is not visible from a public space.
Personal Use
Medical Cannabis Program
Medical cannabis patients are eligible to buy up to the following in any ninety (90) day period with no tax:
Up to 15 ounces (425 units) of cannabis
Once 15 ounces in 90 days are reached, additional purchases can be made through adult-use transactions (taxes will apply to transaction). Possession is unlimited at home, provided all cannabis product is stored in a place not visible from a public location.
