Licensing Questions regarding Mortgage, Escrow, Consumer Credit, Collection, & Money Service Businesses

Licensing staff process renewal applications in the order they are received. To avoid delays, please ensure that all required questions are answered and all required documents are uploaded in NMLS. Complete and accurate renewal applications are generally processed within 14 days, though processing times may be slightly longer during periods of high renewal volume.

In many cases, our staff has already reviewed your submission, renewed the license, and marked the application as complete and acceptable.  However, license renewal payments typically take 7–10 business days to fully clear within the NMLS system.  Final approval is not granted until the payment clears.

We appreciate your patience while this final processing step is completed.  This timing is also why we strongly encourage applicants not to wait until the end of December to submit a completed renewal application.
