Cannabis License Renewal

The online renewal portal has temporarily been disabled and cannot process online renewal applications for any license type.  However, the CCD is accepting paper renewal applications that can be obtained below.  Upon completion of the application, please return it with the required fee through either of the following options:

  1. Mail to P.O. Box 25101, Santa Fe, NM 87504; or
  2. Hand Deliver to 1209 Camino Carlos Rey, Santa Fe, NM 87507

The application includes instructions to help you determine your renewal fee, which must be paid in the form of a Cashier’s Check made payable to the New Mexico Cannabis Control Division.

Please review the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) prior to starting the renewal process.

Cannabis licenses not renewed by the expiration date will require licensees to apply for a new license and cease operations until a new cannabis license is obtained.

How to Renew a License

1. Wait for your renewal window to open

You can renew your license up to 60 days before it expires. You will receive an automated email with instructions when your renewal window opens.

2. Pay Business Taxes

All cannabis business must be in good standing with the New Mexico Tax and Revenue upon renewal. The licensing system verifies good standing. Delinquency will prevent renewal.

3. Review and update your information in the licensing system

Ensure all information and documents in the CCD licensing system are current.  Double check that all of your business’s owners and financial interest holders are disclosed.

4. Pay your license renewal fee and submit your application

The application includes instructions to help you determine your renewal fee, which must be paid in the form of a Cashier’s Check made payable to the New Mexico Cannabis Control Division. Upon completion of the application, please return it with the required fee through either of the following options:

  1. Mail to P.O. Box 25101, Santa Fe, NM 87504; or
  2. Hand Deliver to 1209 Camino Carlos Rey, Santa Fe, NM 87507
5. Post your updated license

Once your license is renewed, replace your old license certificate with your new one. Post it in a visible place where visitors to your facility can see it as required by law.
