Report Criminal Violations of the Cannabis Regulation Act

Criminal violations of the Cannabis Regulation Act should be directed to the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department (RLD) Enforcement Bureau.

If you have information regarding potential criminal violations of the New Mexico Cannabis Regulation Act, including, but not limited to, the following offenses:

  • Section 26-2C-14 NMSA 1978 – Providing, selling, serving, or otherwise furnishing cannabis products to a person under twenty-one years of age;
  • Section 26-2C-28 NMSA 1978 – Trafficking cannabis products;
  • Section 26-2C-29 NMSA 1978 – Possessing or using cannabis within a restricted area;
  • Section 26-2C-30 NMSA 1978 – Unlawful possession of cannabis;
  • Section 26-2C-31 NMSA 1978– Unlicensed manufacturing of cannabis extract;
  • Section 26-2C-43(M)(1)NMSA 1978 – Intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly removing, concealing, destroying, or disposing of cannabis or cannabis products that are subject to an Order Restricting Movement or an Embargo Order,

The Enforcement Bureau receives and evaluates reports of alleged criminal violations of the Cannabis Regulation Act and coordinates investigations with appropriate state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies, as authorized by law.
