Notice is hereby given that the Speech Language Pathology, Audiology, and Hearing Aid Dispensing Practices Board will convene a Rulemaking Hearing and Regular Board meeting on Friday, October 10, 2025. The rules hearing will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will be held at the New Mexico Commission for the Blind Conference Room, located at 2200 Yale Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106. Immediately following the rule hearing, the Board will convene a regular board meeting meeting. The meeting will also be held via Microsoft Teams for those wishing to attend virtually.

The purpose of the rule hearing is to consider initiation of rulemaking for the following rules:

16.26.7 NMAC - Grounds for Disciplinary Action

The Board is currently accepting public written comments on the proposed amendments. Please submit written comments on the proposed changes to Ruth Romero, Sr. Board Administrator, via electronic mail at: Speech.hearing@rld.nm.gov or by regular mail at P.O. Box 25101, Santa Fe, NM 87504, no later than Friday, October 10, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. Written comments received prior to the rule hearing will be posted to the RLD website within three business days of receipt to allow for public view. Persons will also be given the opportunity to present their written or oral comments at the public rule hearing.
