Counseling & Therapy Practice License Renewal Information:

The Counseling and Therapy Practice Board and the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department are implementing a new automated licensing system. This investment will simplify the licensing process, making it easier for applicants and licensees to apply for and renew licenses in New Mexico, eliminating paper forms, money orders, and cut down on staff time required to process, review, approve and renew licensees.

ALL RENEWALS for 2021 will be completed using the new system.

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

  • All first-time users renewing a license MUST use a personalized link sent to your email on file with the board to set up an account and access the correct records. This email invitation is sent from the address: rldlicensing@state.nm.us. If you did not receive an email from this address, please contact nmbcd.support@mtxb2b.com with your name and email address on record with the board, as well as license type and number (if known).
  • You will be required to submit evidence of continuing education completed. Please have course information available, including the name, date, type, and number of hours for each CEU completed during the past 2 years. If you have not completed your required CEUs yet, please complete them before renewing your license
  • If you are an employee of a New Mexico state agency that is paying your renewal fee by operating transfer, you will still need to complete your renewal application online in the new licensing portal and select “Operating Transfer” on the payment page to bypass submitting the renewal fee
